The last race at tonight’s Sunshine Coast meeting was well worth the wait – with Tolai Meri winning again!
Ryan Moloney – who partnered Tolai Meri in her last start win, again gave the daughter of Bradbury’s Luck another beautiful run in transit – settling third on the fence behind the leaders.
As the leader extended her lead at the top of the straight – and the second horse began to struggle, it presented a lovely run for Moloney and Tolai Meri to take advantage of it.
Chasing down the leader at the 150m, Tolai Meri was again strong late and across the line, recorded a comfortable length victory.
It was Tolai Meri’s third win from thirteen starts and took her career earnings to just short of $70K.
“She’s really enjoying her racing and knowing what’s it’s all about.” Trainer Louise White said in the winner’s stall after the race.
“Ryan gave her another perfect ride – that’s two from two – and Meri was really strong late again which is very pleasing.”
